Completion of this course will enable eligible candidates to apply for registration as a Swimming Pool Inspector with the Department of Fair Trading under the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018 allowing the successful applicant to undertake Swimming Pool Barrier Inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance against the required legislation.

Unit 2: New South Wales swimming pool legislation framework
Unit 3: Locate and interpret regulatory requirements for Swimming Pool Inspectors
Unit 4: The role of the NSW Department of Fair trading
Unit 5: Swimming Pool Inspectors and the law
Unit 6: Roles and Responsibilities of Swimming Pool Inspectors
Unit 7: Pools and Barriers
Unit 8: Conduct a pool compliance inspection and certification
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Building UpSkills (BUS)
The course is delivered online (Study in the comfort of your own home or workplace) and a practical assessment is required to be attended in Engadine, NSW. This assessment usually takes an hour or two.
